Our status as the
leading co-educational day prep
school in Scotland is one of
which we are proud and children
and staff alike work hard to
maintain the high standards we
achieve academically, in the arts,
music and on the sports fields.
Most important,
though, is that our pupils leave
us as well-rounded individuals,
ready to play their part as
successful learners, confident
individuals, effective
contributors and responsible
citizens in the modern world. To
help achieve this they are
encouraged to be tolerant, kind,
helpful, interested and
enthusiastic in all that they
undertake at school and through
this they develop the key to good
learning: happiness.
I hope you will
enjoy browsing this website - I
can thoroughly recommend the
Events pages which give a good
account of all that goes on here
- and that it will encourage you
to come to see for yourself what
we have on offer.
I look forward to
meeting you.
Best
wishes
Andy

| "Perthshires
most popular prep
and the only private co-ed
day school in the area
is as busy as ever.
Head Andy Rathborne had
big shoes to fill in the
wake of Mike Beales
30-year reign, but he
seems to be doing
marvellously and now, in
his third year, is
finding his stride,
streamlining and
modernising things gently
but surely. He likes to
point out
Craigclowans
credentials as an eco-school,
redeveloping the kitchen
garden and nurturing new
rows of fruit and veg
theres even
an eco-committee
monitoring the
schools energy use.
The day is bustling and
crammed full of
activities this is
not the sort of place
where everyone scoots off
home at 3.30pm. The
children will still be
debating or horse riding
or whizzing down the
schools very own
dry-ski slope no
surprises that they have
an old girl in the
British under-18 ski team.
Craigclowan produces
great results at Common
Entrance and pupils tend
to head primarily for
Scottish public schools
rather than those south
of the border." |
