THIS WEEK IN PRE-SCHOOL

02 JULY 2010

What a wonderful time we had at our Prize-giving Concert. We sang songs from all around the world – from Scotland, Austria, Spain, Ireland, Australia, France, America, Italy and Russia! Ben played his cello and we all sang for Scotland (and our mums and dads!)

Archie and Euan Van Aswegen are off to travel the world with their mum and dad and sister, Mara. We are wishing them well, bidding them farewell and looking forward to hearing from them as we track their exciting journeys in the year ahead!

FRESHLY BAKED BREAD, BISCUITS AND BUNS
(It's official, Craigclowan Pre-school Bakery Shop is now open!)

25 JUNE 2010

The children have now officially opened their Bakery Shop and we are all queuing to buy the freshly baked bread, cakes, biscuits and buns – though they are very expensive!! A chocolate éclair sold today for £300!! This is no ordinary bakery – this is a Craigclowan bakery!!!!!!!

We can explore and discover where foods come from...

as we choose, prepare...

and taste different foods.

We enjoy investigating objects and shapes and can sort, describe and be creative with them.

We are developing problem-solving strategies, navigation and co-ordination skills...

as we play and learn with electronic games, remote control and programmable toys.

Our Preschooler won two rosettes at the pony club
for jumping and showing her pony ‘Custard’!

PRE-SCHOOL VISIT SCONE PALACE

The Craigclowan Pre-School children enjoyed their trip to Scone Palace on Tuesday. A beautiful peacock came to say “hello” and every inch of the physical woodland play area was explored by all! The children were able to have their healthy snack in the main kitchen where we counted all the copper cooking pots, kettles, jelly moulds and pans.

PRESCHOOLERS ENJOYING A PUPPET SHOW & STORY TELLING

The children have all enjoyed putting on a puppet show...

for their class mates and teachers! OH YES WE HAVE!!

We have been visiting our newly painted Wendy house...

and re-telling stories about ‘Goldilocks and the 3 Bears’...

and ‘Little Red Riding Hood’.

We have been working hard collecting compost, selecting plants and planting the flowers in our boxes and hanging baskets.
We hope our Mums and Dads like them as much as we enjoyed preparing them!!

PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE BACK!

APRIL 2010

After the Easter holidays the children have been very active! We have been balancing and using the apparatus in the Gym Hall.
Playing outside on the big slides and Scottish Country Dancing with Mrs Farrow and making green playdough. Phew!!!!
