We pride ourselves in our locally sourced produce here at Craigclowan and are delighted to work in partnership with local businesses. The suppliers we use to provide our school food are all based in Perthshire which helps ensure freshness from the field to the plate. Jean and her team in the kitchen work closely with our local suppliers who give us the top quality produce for all of our homemade meals.

- We use Lindsay and Son Butchers who have traded in Perth since 1863 and are East of Scotland Steak Pie champions once again in 2011. dglindsay.com
- Our potatoes come from former parent Rob Doig, who has been farming since the mid 1980’s and exports seed potatoes all over the world. We use a variety called Sunrise which has been locally bred in Perthshire.
- The Handy Shop in Crieff, a family business run by Ross and Craig Copland, supplies us with fruit and vegetables.These are either sourced locally to Crieff or bought from the Glasgow market straight to our door first thing in the morning. handyshopcrieff.co.uk
- Jim Downie is our contact from D and D Dairies who supply us with butter, yoghurt, milk and cheese from their local dairies. D and D Dairies is a family firm who farm 350 home bred Fresian, Ayrshire and Holstein cattle on 2,000 acres of lush farmland around Crieff. dandddairies.co.uk
- We only use free range eggs at Craigclowan and these are supplied to the school from Gloagburn Farmshop which was established in Tibbermore in 2003 as a small free range egg business by Ian and Alison Niven, and has since expanded with a wonderful coffee and gift shop. - The bread for our baguette days, team tea sandwiches and school picnic lunches comes from Tower Bakery, run by the McKinnon family who are celebrating 30 years in business in 2011. Based down at the Shore road they also have 11 shops in Perthshire and beyond. towerbakery.co.uk
