WINTER TERM 2005

Summer Term 2005

  13th December, 2005
  Dear Parents,

A Happy Christmas to you all! The time passes by so quickly that the end of term has come upon us with undue haste! It only seems a moment since the children began to use the new space upstairs that has become theirs.

The highlights of the term have been the project-related outings undertaken by the children, Parents Night, a Care Commission Inspection and the Christmas festivities. The Care Commission Inspection once more gave us a clean bill of health, enthusiastically endorsing the strengths of the provision at Craigclowan.

Our “Houses” Project

How shall we build our house?

I always like Parents Evening and the atmosphere that prevails on that evening. It is always good to see so many of you present.
We thought we might build on that next term during the children’s Café project when we will invite you all in during the day to allow the children to ‘wait’ on you a little. It would be lovely if you felt able to bring a friend that day who might be interested in our facilities and unique pre-school atmosphere. We are grateful to you as 90% of our new children come from parental referrals and, since we never take our numbers for granted, we would appreciate your continued help.

Angela and I are off to New Zealand on Thursday, December 15th until Thursday, January 5th to see Maggie. Thus, if you have any queries, I will be delighted to see you before Wednesday, December 14th or after Friday, January 6th. Alternatively, an appointment can be made to see Patrick Borderie, my deputy, if you would prefer. All that is needed is a call to Wendy, my secretary, who will be in the office until Friday, December 23rd and from Tuesday, January 3rd.

This letter comes with best wishes from Irene and all the staff, notably Verona who has rejoined us after the birth of Ribh.

Yours sincerely,
